BEES. Lots and lots of bees.
Dripping off the tire swing like, well, honey.Pretty freaky!

Of course, the band sounded fantastic! We're so proud of our musical children.
Ice and snow cancelled the school district's solo contest earlier in the year, but on this Saturday, we were good to go! Both Katie and Ryan performed. Brett took Ryan for his solo, and I took Katie.
After Katie was finished playing, we made a Starbucks run. Playing the flute is thirsty work!

Then it was time for the feast.

We had fun chowing down and clowning around.
We are so blessed to have our awesome moms!
It was a no-brainer. The Facebook post said Bevo would be at the Fort Worth Co-op on Saturday, so I knew where I would be heading on Saturday! A quick text later, and my best football buddy was on board, too. We made plans to meet at the FW Co-op and then have lunch at Chuy's across the street.
As we waited in line for our photo op, Bevo turned his head and those massively long horns and looked straight at us. I swear he recognized us.
Being this close to the superstar (again), it was fascinating to see just how docile this gentle giant is. I've heard the Silver Spurs say he's like a big dog, but it was still funny to see one of his handlers petting him like you would a puppy.
