Fun in the Sun!

We had a fantastic time at Heritage's Family Carnival/Chili Cook-Off last Saturday!

Matt, Karen and a gazillion volunteers made it a huge success. We had more than 1,200 people attend! From the chili (Jim's was our favorite) to the petting zoo (gotta love the lemurs and kangaroo), we all had a blast. It was an awesome way to get people on our campus and in our building. The cook-off, bake sale and raffle also raised money for our new children's wing.

And a big ol' "Yea, GOD!" for the gorgeous weather! I was a little worried when it was so stormy Friday, but the sunshine was a welcome sight on Saturday!

We were so sad that we were not able to make it. We were driving to meet my in-laws to drop off Cade and Nate. Chase and Dylan saw everything set up and they were trying to figure out a way that they could go. Since teleporting has not been invited, they were out of luck! Looks like it was fun.
