Never can say goodbye.

Brett and the kids take pride in having the last snow on the block! Last Friday afternoon, the day after we got all that snow, the three of them dismantled our snowmen and piled all the snow they could scavenge into a pile. Shaded from the sun, this spot near our giant bushes stood the best chance of keeping our snow frozen. The pile was about three feet tall on Friday, and today, this little mound is all that's left. But does anyone else around here still have snow in their yard?

That is so funny!! It won't last much longer - have you seen the forecast? My boys dismantled the snowman in the form of snowballs - so no snow left here:)

Alas, but the great snow storm of 2008 (as it came to be known) is but a whisper of a hint of a memory on our block! We do, however, have some mighty fine Texas-style parched grass in lovely shades of brown, beige, and tan, if you'd like to come take a gander.

Tomorrow starts my nasty, nasty workweek, so it's off to bed now for me.

our snow is all gone but I think that's hilarious that they won't let it go. I guess when we rarely get it here, we have to hang on to it as long as we can!!
